Before our Washington, DC trip, 7th grade silk screened t-shirts.
Quite lovely, aren't they?!
Truth be told, I have had very little ( very little...) experience with screen printing, however, I proceeded boldly, as is often the case. We came up with a design, scanned it and printed it on a transparency - which i had to explain to some of the kids what a transparency was - really?
I bought a photo emulsion kit on amazon, used a frame and screen, and burned the screen using a lamp in my living room - it took about an hour with a 60 watt bulb.
We really enjoyed this process - a lot of owwww's and ahhhh's!
We were satisfied with the results... the bright blue was a dream while spotting kids on the metro in DC. :)
